Sibset of the Week: The Fergusons

Kate Moss with her many bridesmaids, from blogger.com

Rosemary Ferguson is a model, and a friend of the better known model Kate Moss; and it’s because of Kate Moss that I now know the names of her three daughters, who appeared as bridesmaids at Kate Moss’s wedding to Jamie Hince last week. Her first daughter is with Barry Reigate, whilst the younger two are with Jake Chapman:

Elfie

Bliss

Blythe

Whilst I’m not completely sold on Elfie who was, admitedly, named prior to the Alfie boom, I do love the name Blythe. Personally, one could drawn comparisons of the Bliss/Blythe sibset with Jessica Alba’s Honor/Haven one. Similar word names that just seem to work well together, but also box you in slightly with names. What would Rosemary name a fourth child? For a son, perhaps Blade? Perhaps Bonnie for a girl, which references the end of that children’s rhyme:

But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day

Is bonny and blithe and good and gay

Either way, as mentioned in the previous post, Kate Moss has a daughter named Lila Grace.

  1. Awkward Turtle

Bonnie and Blythe would be gorgeous together! I’m not crazy about Bliss though, it seems…*lowers voice*…stripperish.

Elfie is unusual. It reminds me of a character in a book named Aelfin (sister: Cassina Melrose).

  2. I love Blythe, and I can handle Elfie. But Bliss seems like a lot to live up to – plus, it is awfully close to Blythe … still, great find!

  3. Yes I can only think that Bonnie will be next, and then twins Good and Gay …

Bliss sounds like some sort of hygiene or skincare product to me.

  4. I like them all.

That photo reminds me of the front cover of a Mediaeval Baebes album — I suppose Kate Moss can afford that sort of professional photography, though!
