Sibset of the Week: The Kings

Cherish, from fuzznet.net

I watched a show out of the corner of my eye a few nights ago; it showcased several different girl groups from the past several decades. It has kind of inspired this post, in that it covers the names of four sisters once in a singing quartet together. There’s that, and the fact that it follows on from last week’s spot of crazed clearing out of drafts. I’m not sure why I never came around to posting this, but now it sees the light of day.

The band the four sisters were in is called Cherish, and focuses on R&B, soul and hip hip styles of music. The sisters originally came from Illinois, and all were born in the 1980s. Cherish first found mainstream success in 2003, and quickly put out their début single – it flopped. Their second single came out in 2006, to a greater reception.

So, the names of the sisters? In age order (the youngest two are twins):

Farrah

Neosha

Felisha

Fallon

Not necessarily in line with the usually names that appear in this series of posts, but it’s nice to have a little variety from time to time. Fallon caught my eye because I have seen the name discussed lately, but so far only on the boys. That said, the TV show Dynasty was in full swing in the 1980s, and there was a female character featured prominently in it called Fallon.

  1. Farrah and Fallon I can deal with, even like, but Neosha and Felisha are just not my cup of tea. An interesting sibset, though.
