I love this series of books for the names, they started out with names such as Sky, Fern and Ruby, but have since roamed into the realms of more popular names, likely so that they can appeal to their readership more. Both my sister’s have been bought these books, and their first ones were the ones with their names, respectively.

I’ve covered the Rainbow Magic series a few times before. There’s the original post, and the an update on new series: Showtime Fairies.

I also credit the series with introducing me to the name Saskia. A name I adore.

  1. Great marketing to use more and more common names for the fairies … who could resist a book with their own name splashed all over the cover?

I’m a huge fan of Saskia too – really fantastic name.
